KBZ Communications Offers RUs for Original Video Classes

In January 2009, InfoComm approved two continuing education classes from KBZ Communications, Inc. give Certified Technology Specialists more ways to earn renewal units and maintain their CTS credential.  In the interest of furthering the acceptance and implementation of video communications, KBZ established KBZ University to provide Resale Partners, as well as design professionals and end-users, specialized training on the advances, technical considerations, and applications of video communications.  The KBZ University  original classes, Selling Infrastructure 101, and Intro to Visual Communications and System Components provide learning opportunities relating to video communications, and specifically focus on the products and applications of TANDBERG visual communication solutions.  Selling Infrastructure 101 offers 1.5 RUs toward CTS Certification renewal; Intro to Visual Communications and System Components offers 2 RUs toward CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I Certification renewal.  Participants from 2008 classes are still eligible to receive credit – contact KBZ University Director Frank Foti, M.Ed. [email frank@kbz.com] for more information.

Intro to Visual Communications and System Components serves as the core presentation of KBZ’s travelling road show, VideoPalooza. In March, VideoPalooza3 attracted close to 40 participants to the Hotel Indigo, Newton MA. KBZ credits the record turnout to the recent InfoComm RU approval of its classes. “We are very pleased to receive InfoComm RU approval,” stated Foti. “These two classes represent just the beginning of a series of targeted, highly informative educational offerings for both KBZ Resale Partners and the public. To be able to offer InfoComm accreditation and vital TANDBERG sales and product information provides our Partners with an invaluable resource."  KBZ will host its next installment of VideoPalooza in the New York Metro area during the second quarter of 2009.  To be alerted of new developments from KBZ University, subscribe to KBZ eNews.
