Introducing the newly improved version of TANDBERG Content Server (TCS), the power to stream HD video in all major formats.
The new TANDBERG Content Server hits the market January ’08 after several notable improvements to its former self, offering even greater flexibility and more robust features that expand the possibilities for distributing recorded video. Creating, storing, and distributing video calls and multimedia presentations have never been easier.
Using any standards-based video conferencing system, the TANDBERG Content Server lets you record messages – up to five concurrent video calls along with media like PC presentations, doc cameras, DVDs. Then with a new user-friendly interface, simply scroll through the built-in library for quick content viewing and retrieval in all major media formats which are downloadable to even portable media devices like Apple’s iPod and Microsoft’s Zune. Also with the newest version of Content Server comes the release of TCS Software version S3.0, offering several exciting new features and a number of changes in the way that options work.
How it Works
The TANDBERG Content Server is a drop-in-place solution that can be added to any H.323 or SIP video network to easily allow for streaming and archiving of content from any H.323 or SIP video endpoint. With it, anyone can create content that will be viewed live or on-demand. The solution delivers real-time streaming of an event, corporate meeting or even a surgery.
The beauty of the solution lies in its simplicity. In order to stream or archive a meeting, just place a call from an endpoint into the streaming & archiving server and calls to any other sites participating live. From this point on, the meeting can be conducted as usual. If presentation sharing is needed, then this will be streamed and/or archived as well. There is no need to upload slides.
